Shaun Wymes, originally from London, England, arrived in Houston, Texas in 1977 for a short-term job assignment. Instead of returning to his native country, Shaun quickly became “Texanized” and proceeded to build a business empire including Atlantic Communications LLC, publisher of energy related journals, International Exhibitions Inc., promoter of Texas Home and Garden Shows and British Investments Inc., which manages a portfolio of properties and restaurants.

After searching all over the world for a place that is “unspoiled but has an infrastructure”, Shaun discovered Huatulco in 2002 and quickly knew that his search for a beautiful place that met his stringent criteria was over. He was delighted that he could have a lunch meeting in Houston and catch a flight to Huatulco for dinner with friends and family on a same day. Upon building his personal home in Huatulco,

Shaun acquired the spectacular 7-plus ocean front acres where Cosmo Residences will be completed. He is poised to apply his business expertise and financial resources behind Cosmo and is determined to develop a world class luxury community he can be proud of. Shaun is an equal partner with his longtime friend Michael Manners, founder of Elan Development Co., which was ranked 87th in the 2004 Inc. 500 List, and Royce Homes, which was ranked as the 58th largest home builder in the U.S. that same year. Shaun is in charge of the operations at Cosmo. Britanic Ventures is debt-free and Cosmo is fully funded by the partnership.

Originally from Cologne, Germany, Uli Kaufhold discovered Huatulco in 1995 and decided to settle down when he was absolutely convinced that it was one of the most beautiful places he had come across as a world traveler. Before Mexico, Uli directed billion dollar engineering projects around the world and was responsible for the successful installation of industrial plants and pulp and paper mills for multinational corporations.

His passion for architecture and real estate development fully came to fruition locally when he successfully designed and developed Sueno Real and Sueno del Mar, two world class luxury communities in Huatulco.

Prior, Uli also was involved in the development of first class residences in New Zealand and Germany. As the new project director, his focus now shifts to Cosmo Residences where his sense for elegance, attention to detail and no non-sense work ethic will no doubt drive the project to become one of the most beautiful and outstanding residential developments in Mexico.
